What is the Void? It is easier to just circumvent that question entirely, disregard what you know, and say the truth: we will never know.

We mustn't speak so lightly of such a dreadful place. I'm sure you hear that too much. Any observer of the void soon disregards our first principle once they become intimately familiar with it, and so you won't hear it from me. I will admit my familiarity extends beyond anything you may have encountered with others in our field. That will be true for you as well. Our kind of veherrihs are immune to the void thus we make the best investigators (and causes for jealousy in those who are not us, or perhaps I just have that effect on people). And to satiate your curiosity, yes, that is why I chose you as my understudy; disregarding your shortcomings elsewhere. I like to be challenged and if you walk away from me knowing nothing new at all, then I have met my match, Vinsähn Of-No-House. If you walk away from me knowing less than what you came with, well I will have truly outdone myself. I digress. Just remember you do not have to be as serious as the material you study. To begin, your first lesson is everything must be prefaced with the sentence: Not everything is as it seems. The mantra of the Void-God holds true to everything, even what lies outside the void. I hold no reservation in using my god-given talents and neither should you. I have walked many worlds of the void. They are nothing like what the common fearful rabble believe. I have seen worlds like our own, devoid of life, but just as you see it now. I have had long and deep conversations with the beings of this existence on nearly every topic imaginable. I know many by their name and these beings have come to my aid just as I would for them when they call upon me. Of course just as you have experience with people, not all are friendly. I have my enemies here and naturally you will accrue some as well. A fragment of a letter, author unknown. The void is the realm of the strange and often malevolent creatures know as voids, voidlings, sädthäsan... However, it's laws and layout are completely unknown to those outside this place. Any unbiased account of the Void is nonexistent. The andeamer gain all their knowledge of it from the Dirrag and the High Priestesses of Mazarath who have actually ventured into it. As for the nature of things borne from the Void, the andeamer have the most first-hand experience with them. Their world is entrenched in the divine and so it is familiar to them in all aspects. Humans are quicker to equate it to hell, the underworld, lake of fire, etc... But this is not where on goes in the afterlife. You can go here while alive, even get trapped or come out and warn everyone of what you encountered. That is what the High Priestesses of Mazarath do. The lurokhë deny it exists, more specifically they deny it is separate from this universe we inhabit. They acknowledge strange phenomena such as the voidlings. They don't deny the existence of the fikheri, after all it was those creatures that devoured their world. They trust their science and observations so to them, it is just another part of existence in need of understanding. None of these perspectives are wrong, maybe even all are correct. The High Priestesses of Mazarath have encountered those lost and trapped in the Void. As for the lurokhë's conclusion of the Void and its influence, it is indeed a phenomena of nature as we have witnessed in the long history of Ënokh, the destruction of the lurokhë's homeworld, and more recently how the fikheri came to be. The geography and layout of the Void appears to be fluid and ever changing. Instead of using a map or memorizing surroundings, it is easier to know the tells of who's territory one finds themselves in. Those known are the Greater Voids, but they are not the only dominant beings that inhabit this place, just the ones we know of. Of course there is Akhemaaz, the progenitor of the Greater Voids and some speculate the Void itself, but nowhere in any lore is this theory founded. The inhabitants of the Void aren't known for their honesty and humility. Each of these grand abominations have their own unique personalities. The realm of Vegar Arniel is described as being anything and everything one might covet. While Surgat Zagam's plane is toxic, a place of filth, disease, and rot. Yet, we have some peculiar things recorded by High Priestesses of Mazarath and the Void-inclined veherrihs. Environments vary widely. Some have been described as being no different to what is observed on Earth or Ënokh, or any "normal" planet, while others are jarringly alien. It is still familiar and predictable to our universe. Simple minds like Johannes Winnepeg and those who think their answers lie in merely observing the Void from outside, don't have the full scope of what the Void is. They only focus on what they know and exhausting all possibilities there, but such is a small glimmer in the expanse. His observations are inherently flawed for those reasons. He has never been to the Void like many of his ilk. They have ascribed them ranks and meaning to those ranks. The voidlings are a loose conglomerate. A majority of them are little more than insects are to us. Their nature is not purpose, just nature. Hismael Hamariel was not created to spurn jealousy or envy, to destroy the love between us, those things already existed. It is just in Hismael Hamariel's nature to perpetuate their sphere. The same as a virus seeks to replicate inside you. There is more than the Greater Voids, than Akhemaaz, and their worlds. There are hidden treasures out there, not something you can hold in your hands, nor are they things that stay where you found them. Perhaps those lost wandering the endless Void sought out these things and their powers. You need only to desire them to find them.
